Manila International Book Fair Finds

Charles has been to the 27th Manila International Book Fair and he spotted the "Sandman: King of Dreams" coffee table book by Alisa Kwitney at the National Bookstore booth on sale for just PhP485 from its original PhP1500+ price.

The 27th Manila International Book Fair runs from August 30 to September 3 at the World Trade Center, Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue corner D. Macapagal Blvd in Pasay City. The venue opens at 10AM and closes at 8PM. Happy book hunting!

"Anansi Boys" Wins Mythopoeic Award

"Anansi Boys" was awarded the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature in ceremonies held during the 37th Annual Mythopoeic Conference organized by the Mythopoeic Society at the University of Oklahoma. Neil beat the following other finalists for the honor:
* The Penelopiad by Margaret Atwood
* The Hallowed Hunt by Lois McMaster Bujold
* Metallic Love by Tanith Lee
* The Strange Adventures of Rangergirl by Tim Pratt

"Anansi Boys" available in paperback

"Anansi Boys" is now available locally in mass-market paperback. I've seen copies in A Different Bookstore and Fully Booked. Sources from Powerbooks say they should also be available in their stores pretty soon. :)

The Powerbooks August Sale is also well under way. Most Gaiman titles are available at 20% off.

Harper Collins iAmplify has 2 interviews with Neil up for free download at their website. There are lots of other cool interviews, one of which, I downloaded and especially liked -- "Legends and Green Skin" with "Wicked" author, Gregory Maguire. :)

Stardust: Falling to earth, March 2007
